OLIVER KUUSIK
is one of his generations most outstanding opera soloists in Estonia, who studied at the Estonian Academy of Music and Theatre with Associate Prof. Pille Lill and Prof. Virgilius Noreika. He received his master’s degree and graduated from the opera studio of the Guildhall School of Music & Drama in London (2006). He was the soloist of the Estonian National Opera between 2008-2017 and is working as a freelancer now. From the most important roles his repertoire includes: Faust (Gounod “Faust”), Nemorino (Donizetti “The Elixir of Love”, Liverpool, UK), Don Ramiro (Rossini “La Cenerentola”), Sesto (Händel “Julius Caesar”), Fenton (Verdi “Falstaff”) etc. He has taken part of the recording of Fleishman’s opera “Rotchild’s Violin” together with the Liverpool Royal Symphony Orchestra and sung the role of Enjolras in Schönberg’s/Boublil’s musical “Les Miserables”. O. Kuusik has performed as an oratorio and chamber music singer in over 25 different grand musical works and given concerts in Estonia as well as several foreign countries. In 2010 O. Kuusik was rewarded with the annual “Crystal Shoe” Award of the Estonian Theatre Union, in 2009 he was chosen as a laureate of the Jeunes Ambassadeurs Lyriques (Montreal, Canada), in 2008 he received the annual Estonian Theatre Award for his singing in Britten’s “Turn of the Screw” and he has been awarded with the PLMF award “Young Singer 2005”. Several praising reviews have been published about him in worlds most notable publications such as Opera Now, Opera Magazine, The Stage, The London Times etc.

KAI RATASSEPP
is a recognized soloist and chamber musician, her repertoire includes music from classical to contemporary. Kai Ratassepp graduated from the piano class of Ruuta Taras and Lilian Semper at Tallinn Music High School in 1988 and continued her studies at the Estonian Academy of Music under the guidance of Lilian Semper and Peep Lassmann. In 2007, under the guidance of Peep Lassmann, she acquired a doctorate from the Estonian Academy of Music and Theatre. She has furthered her skills in the masterclasses of Andrei Gavrilov, Ralf Gothón and Arbo Valdma. Kai Ratassepp has won awards at several national and international piano festivals in Belgrade (1990), Vilnius (1991) and Tallinn (1994, 1996). She has given solo concerts and performed in various bands in Estonia, Finland, Sweden, Germany, England, USA, China, Poland and Russia. The most important and recognised of her chamber ensembles is the piano duo with Mati Mikalai. Other frequent band partners have been, for example, saxophonist Virgo Veldi and clarinettist Madis Kari. Kai Ratassepp works as a piano lecturer at the Estonian Academy of Music and Theatre and Tallinn Music High School.
