Andante sostenuto\nScherzo\nAllegretto \n\n\nPILLE LILL\nis a renowned opera singer and a cultural activist\, starting her journey as a musician with piano studies at Pärnu Children’s Music School. She has graduated the Estonian Academy of Music and Theater (EAMT) with two specialties – music pedagogy and opera singing. She continued her studies at the master’s level of the London Guildhall School of Music and Drama and defended her master’s degree at the Helsinki Sibelius Academy. During 2004–2011 she furthered her skills at the doctorate level of EAMT (Prof. Jaakko Ryhänen) and in 2005-2006 at the University of Music Karlsruhe. In addition\, she has taken part of the masterclasses of several world-famous musicians (E. Söderström\, I. Gage\, E. Kirkby\, M. Sillem\, W. Vernocchi\, G. Hinz etc.). P. Lill has performed as an opera\, oratorio and chamber music singer in numerous countries. She has sung lead roles in nearly 30 operas and cooperated with distinguished conductors. She has premiered several works of contemporary composers\, she has done numerous recordings for Estonian Public Broadcasting and her voice is captured on many CD-s. P. Lill has been awarded with the Big Dipper Award for Best Female Singer (1996) and she has been a laureate of the Georg Ots prize (2002)\, a grantee of the Wagner Society Scholarship (1998) and the 3rd class honoree of the Order of Bishop Platon (2005). She has been rewarded with the UNICEF Bluebird Award (2009)\, the Music Endowments’ Annual Award of the Estonian Cultural Endowment (2014)\, the 4th class Order of the White Star (2016) and the Esther of the Evangelical Lutheran Church of Estonia (2017). From 1997 to 2003 P. Lill was a teacher in EAMT (assistant professor since 2003 and she has given master classes in several countries (Germany\, Finland\, Russia\, Belarus\, Latvia\, Israel etc.). She has been a part of the jury of international competitions for opera singers and she is the creator and a jury member of the National Vocal Contest (2009\, 2013\, 2017). From 2003-2009 she was a board member of the Association of Estonian Professional Musicians and at this time she is a board member of the Estonian Chamber of Culture and the Finnish-Estonian Culture Fund. In 2003\, she founded PLMF Music Trust and she is the creator and leader of PLMF Academia Nova learning center since 2017. \n\nEVE NEUMANN \nstarted musical studies in the piano class of Keila Music School and continued in the Georg Ots Music School\, where she studied saxophone. She has obtained a diploma as a soloist and orchestral player in the Estonian Academy of Music and Theatre (2002\, Prof. Olavi Kasemaa). In addition to several master classes (J. Pettersson\, C. Johnsson\, C. Bois)\, she has also improved her skills at the Sibelius Academy in Helsinki (Prof. Pekka Savijoki) and at the Netherland Utrecht Hoogeschool voor de Kunsten (Prof. Johan van der Linden). E. Neumann has participated in festival “Saxomania” (1997)\, competition for young interprets “Con Brio” (2002) and in 2003\, Eve won IV place and diploma at the H. Kareva International Competition for Saxophone Players. She has cooperated with the harpsichord player Ene Nael\, organists Tiia Tenno and Pille Metsson\, Tallinn Saxophone Quartet and Estonian National Symphony Orchestra. E. Neumann has worked as a teacher at Tallinn Music School\, Viimsi Music School and Keila Music School. She is a member and one of the founders of saxophone quartet Quattro Quarti and a founder and board member of Estonian Saxophone Association. E. Neumann is a member of the NATO Saxophone Orchestra created in 2015 with which she gave a concert at the 17th World Saxophone Congress and Festival. In 2016 she put together saxophone quartet FinEst in which saxophone players of the orchestras of the Estonian Defence Forces and Finnish Guard joined forces. In addition\, she has gained an MA degree on free and contemporary improvisation (2019) and is as active advocate of this art form. E. Neumann works as a principal saxophonist in the Orchestra of the Estonian Defence Forces. \n \nMAANO MÄNNI\nhas graduated from the Estonian Academy of Music and Theatre (1992\, Prof. Jüri Gerretz). He has worked as a concert master at the Tallinn Chamber Orchestra (1993-1996) and the Estonian National Symphony Orchestra (1993-2000) and since 2002 at the Vaasa City Orchestra in Finland. In addition to orchestral work\, M. Männi is an active chamber musician\, performing with international musicians such as Ralf Gothoni (piano)\, Torleif Thedéen (cello)\, Yuval Gotlibovich (viola) etc. In 2001\, M. Männi co-founded\, with cellist Aare Tammesalu\, the Tobias String Quartet\, with which they have played in several parts of Europe\, including Konzerthaus in Berlin (2015) and Capella Hall in St. Petersburg (2018). He has been a soloist in front of several orchestras conducted by outstanding conductors\, including Neeme Järvi\, Alexander Vedernikov\, Andrei Boreiko\, Arvo Volmer\, Juha Kangas\, Jin Wang and others. M. Männi has furthered his skills at the orchestral conducting courses of Jorma Panula\, Leonid Grin and Ilmar Tõnisson. He has led the Estonian Sinfonietta as well as Vaasa and Pärnu City orchestras. He likes to synthesize musical styles and put together unique concert programs. In Vaasa\, the concerts conducted by M. Männi which are meant for various audiences (school and senior concerts)\, as well as wish concerts (“Sinun hetkesi-Din stund”\, the Flamenco and Tango Nuevo concerts\, the Tchaikovsky portrait)\, have earned the audience’s favour. In 2015\, he directed Glass Bead Game Sinfonietta at Evald Vainu’s jubilee concerts “Optimist” with the actors of the Tallinn City Theatre in Estonia’s major concert halls\, which were also recorded for ETV. M. Männi has recorded for several record companies including Erdeklang\, Ondine and Alba Records. In 2012\, the CD “Six seasons +” was released\, where he performs the works of Astor Piazzolla and Evald Vainu for violin and orchestra as the soloist of the Pärnu City Orchestra. The record has received positive feedback\, and music critic Igor Garshnek has said: ““Six seasons +” to every record shelf!” (Sirp\, 2013/10/04). In 2014\, the Vaasa City Orchestra CD was released called “Finnish Lyricism and Romance” on which M. Männi plays as a soloist in Toivo Kuula’s violin piece Notturno Op. 3a/2 orchestrated by himself. During the 2017/2018 concert season\, he led Vaasa City Orchestra on several occasions\, where\, among others\, a reputable soprano Camilla Nylund appeared as a soloist. With the Estonian Sinfonietta\, he has had close cooperation since the founding of the orchestra in January 2017. Together they have performed at various festivals in Estonia (e.g. Kuressaare Chamber Festival)\, as well as in Greece and Israel. In 2019\, M. Männi performed in front of the Estonian Sinfonietta at the Estonian Concert Hall as a soloist\, conductor as well as concert master and he performed at the Golden Hall of Vienna Musikverein\, with Kristiina Poska as the conductor. As of 2016\, M. Männi plays on the French master Charles François Gandi’s violin from 1810 of the Finnish Cultural Endowment.\n \nKRISTINA KRIIT\nhas obtained her master’s degree in Estonian Academy of Music and Theatre (Prof. Mari Tampere-Bezrodny\, 2004) and furthered her skills with Prof. Igor Bezrodny\, Eduard Schmieder\, Pavel Vernikov and Hermann Krebbers. In addition\, she has studied in Universität Mozarteum in Salzburg (2001-2002\, Prof. Hermann Krebbers). K. Kriit has taken part of several international competitions\, from which the most important are Heino Eller Competition in Tallinn (special prize\, 1996) and Henryk Wieniawski Competition in Poland (Lublin\, 1997). K. Kriit is a valued contemporary musician and she has performed as a soloist and a chamber musician in almost every country of Europe and Scandinavia. She has twice been a scholar of the reputed Holland Music Sessions. In 2005 K. Kriit was one of the founders of Tallinn String Trio and in 2009 trio “Madrigal” with flute and piano. She is a professor and a PhD student in EAMT (Prof. Mari Tampere-Bezrodny) and a II concert master of the Symphony Orchestra of the Estonian National Opera.\n\nJOHANNA VAHERMÄGI\nbegan her musical studies at the age of 6 at the Tallinn Music High School\, graduated in 2007 with honours. She has been a student of prof. Viljar Kuusk at the Estonian Academy of Music and Theatre\, prof. Avri Levitan at the International Centre for Excellence for Strings (Spain) and received her BA in music in 2013 from the Aragon Higher Conservatory of Music (Spain) with prof. Avri Levitan. She was the recipient of the 1st prize at the 3rd International Competition for Soloists “Illa de Menorca FIDAH” (2011) and also at the 2014 chamber music competition of the Jerusalem Academy of Music and Dance. She has performed as a soloist with the Estonian National Symphony Orchestra\, European Youth Orchestra\, Chamber Orchestra of the Jerusalem Academy of Music and Dance\, Tallinn Music High School Symphony Orchestra\, etc. She has participated in the master classes of Tabea Zimmermann\, Haim Taub\, Nicolas Chumachenko\, Amihai Grosz\, Gilad Karni\, Mikhail Zemtsov\, etc. She has been invited to perform at many international chamber music festivals such as the Berlin Music Festival (Germany)\, Voice of Music festival (Israel)\, Ravello Festival (Italy)\, Festival della Valle d’Itria (Italy)\, Järvi Music Festival (Estonia) etc\, and has performed chamber music with partners such as Guy Braunstein\, Amihai Grosz\, Nicolas Chumachenko\, Avri Levitan\, Roi Shiloah\, Alexander Pavlovsky\, Zvi Plesser\, Ohad Ben Ari\, etc. In addition she has collaborated with various chamber orchestras (Reina Sofia Chamber Orchestra\, Tallinn Sinfonietta\, etc) and with the international contemporary music ensemble “Ensemble Plural” (cond. Fabian Panisello)\, with whom she has recorded a CD for Radio Bremen (Germany). At present she is collaborating freelance with the Barcelona Liceu Opera Theatre Orchestra\, Jerusalem Symphony Orchestra\, Jerusalem Baroque Orchestra and is obtaining her MA degree at the Jerusalem Academy of Music and Dance with prof. Roi Shiloah.\n\nANDREAS LEND\nis one of his generations most distinguished cellists in Estonia. He started his music studies in Tallinn Music High School\, aquired a bachelor’s and a master’s degree in Estonian Academy of Music and Theater and furthered his skills in Finland Sibelius Academy. In addition\, he has taken part of many internationally acknowledged cellist’s master classes (F. Helmerson\, D. Geringas\, M. Ostertag etc.). A. Lend has gotten awards at many competitions\, including I Prize and Grand Prix at the International Competition-Festival “Renaissance” (Armenia\, 2013)\, I Prize at the ES-TA Estonian nationwide Violinists’ and Cellists’ Competition (2004) etc. In 2007 A. Lend was chosen to be a part of the European Union Youth Orchestra which he has performed with across Europe. As a soloist and an ensemble partner he has performed in numerous foreign countries in-cluding Denmark\, Germany\, Italy etc. and he has been invited to Tallinn Chamber Music Festival\, Kuopio Historical Keyboards Festival in Finland\, Valle d’Itria Festival in Italy etc. During the last few years he cooperated with many string quartets and orchestras and at the moment he is active in National Opera Estonia Symphony Orchestra\, string quartet Prezioso and Estonian Cello Ensemble and he is also active as a chamber musician in several other compositions. \n \nVLADIMIR RESHETKO \nhas studied in St. Petersburg and he continued his education in Amsterdam and Berlin. V. Reshetko has been the prizewinner of International Heran Cello Competition (1999). He has been awarded 1st prize and special prize for the best interpretation of a work by F. Schubert in International Chamber Music Competition “Franz Schubert and the Modern Music” (2009)\, 1st prize in C. Hennen Chamber Music Competition (2009) and 1st prize in Pergamenschikow Prize for Chamber Music (2011). He is a co-founder and a member of Anima Quartet. In the recent seasons\, he premiered Ana Sokolovic’s “Commedia dell’arte III” dedicated to Anima Quartet. All 3 parts were released by SWR Alassic Archive in 2016. In September 2017 V. Reshetko became a concert master of the cello group of Vaasa City Orchestra. He has toured across many countries and performed alongside eminent musicians. He has performed as a soloist with conductors Vasily Petrenko and Ravil Martynov in front of the St. Petersburg State Academic Orchestra. V. Reshetko has formed a wide solo\, chamber and an orchestra repertoire\, including works of contemporary\, classical and baroque styles.\nHis recent solo debut in Finland and premiere of A. Kraft’s  Cello Concerto was highly appreciated:\n“Vladimir Reshetko gave a powerfully moving musical performance. His deeply felt phrasing\, the rich and lyrical timbre of the cello\, as well as his masterful virtuosity delivered a fresh performance in Kraft’s Cello Concerto. The audience thanked the soloist with enthusiastic ovations.” –  Pohjalainen 30.03.2019\, Vaasa\n\n\nJAAK LUTSOJA\nhas graduated as an accordionist from Tallinn Lilleküla High School music class and from the Georg Ots Tallinn Music School. He has been active as a freelance musician since 1997 and has for many years also taught at Saue Music School\, at the Heino Eller Tartu Music School and at the University of Tartu Viljandi Culture Academy. He has performed as a soloist and as a member of several prominent ensembles. In addition to performing all over Europe\, Jaak Lutsoja has performed in the United States and Russia with a very wide repertoire from a variety of genres expanding from pop-jazz to classical and contemporary music. Jaak Lutsoja has performed together with musicians such as Kersti Ala-Murr\, Leho Karin\, Tõnu Jõesaar\, Oleg Pissarenko\, Erkki Otsman\, Siiri Sisask\, Silvi Vrait\, Tõnis Mägi\, Jaak Jürisson\, Hedvig Hanson\, Ardo Ran Varres\, and also with the chamber choir Revalia\, an accordion trio comprised of himself\, Henn Rebane and Allan Jakobi\, ensembles Noorkuu\, Karavan etc. Jaak Lutsoja has performed at many international music festivals and concert projects (Saksofon versus Saksofon\, 2008 Kumu) and opera productions (Tõnis Kaumann/Leelo Tungal Lopi ja Lapi\, 2008 Türi Spring Festival; Mari Vihmand Armastuse valem\, 2008 Estonian National Opera; W. A. Mozart The Magic Flute\, Nukuteater; dance production Carrrmen\, 2012 Vanemuine Theatre). Jaak Lutsoja was the headliner at the festival Visioon 2010 with a programme of his own compositions. The same year his first solo recording Contrarian Grooving was published\, comprising entirely of original creations. The album has been nominated as the European Jazz Radio Album of the Week twice. In cooperation with the soprano Kersti Ala-Murr and the New Music Quartet he has also published an album Vaikimine oleks vale (2010) and together with the Jaak Lutsoja Quintet the album Adiós Nonino (2013). In 2013 Jaak Lutsoja established the Accordion Club which was created for furthering the possibilities of playing the accordion.

He has graduated from Tallinn Music High School and the Estonian Academy of Music and Theatre (EAMT). In 1993\, he won the 1st Prize at the young pianists’ competition dedicated to the 150th anniversary of Edvard Grieg and in 1994 R. Taal won the National Pianists’ Competition and Young Interprets’ Competition-Festival “Con Brio”. He was a scholar of the Estonian Concert for the 1994/95 concert season. In 1995\, he was awarded with a special prize at the Schubert International Pianists’ Competition in Dortmund for being the youngest finalist. Ralf Taal has performed as a soloist with almost all Estonian orchestras and he has given numerous solo concerts. He has cooperated with such outstanding conductors as Eri Klas\, Paavo Järvi\, Olari Elts\, Arvo Volmer\, Tõnu Kaljuste\, Anu Tali etc. His solo programs mostly include music from Schubert\, Beethoven and Chopin. In addition to being active as a soloist R. Taal is also a valued ensemble partner for several vocal and instrumental soloists\, singers Mati Palm\, Ain Anger\, Pille Lill\, Helen Lokuta\, Monika-Evelin Liiv and instrumentalists Indrek Vau\, Oksana Sinkova\, Toomas Vavilov\, Andrus Haav among others. R. Taal is working as a pedagogue at the Estonian Academy of Music and Theatre and at the Georg Ots Tallinn Music School and he was a concert master at the Estonian National Opera (1998-2014).  In 2011\, he was rewarded with the annual award of the Estonian Culture Endowment’s Music (Sound Design) Fund. In 2014\, he released his solo album with Chopin’s piano music “Magic of Sound” (Estonian Record Productions).

Jürgens is an exceptional young Estonian mezzo-soprano who’s singing journey will continue from this Autumn at the International Opera Academy in Ghent\, Belgium. K. Jürgens started her music studies with violin and flute. Since 2014 she has been pursuing classical singing at the Estonian Academy of Music and Theatre (EAMT\, Prof. Taimo Toomast\, Nadežda Kurem ja Eva Märtson-Wilson) and in addition learning contemporary improvisation (Prof. Anne-Liis Poll). K. Jürgens spent the academic year 2018/19 as an exchange student in Belgium at the Royal Conservatoire Antwerp (RCA\, Prof. Gary Jankowski\, Lucienne Van Dyke). K. Jürgens has taken part in several masterclasses held by renowned opera singers and vocal coaches from Estonia\, Italy\, Great Britain\, Germany\, Belgium\, USA\, Russia\, Lithuania\, Poland\, Finland\, Sweden  (Pille Lill\, Wilma Vernocchi\, Marie Vassiliou\, Maciej Pikulski\, Kristian Attila\, Maria Ljudko\, Sofia Mazar\, Margareta Haverinen Brandt etc). In 2015 she was given a scholarship from Italy and in 2017 from Estonia (Mati Palmi fond) to take part in Wilma Vernocchi masterclasses in Italy. During her studies at the EAMT K. Jürgens has sang opera roles such as La Maestra Delle Novizie – G. Puccini “Suor Angelica” (2016)\, Mrs Grose – B. Britten “The Turn of the Screw” (2016)\, Dido – H. Purcell “Dido and Aeneas” (2016) and Orlando – G. F. Händel “Orlando” (2018). In 2017 K. Jürgens made her debut at the Theatre Vanemuine as Andromache in Märt-Matis Lill “Into the Fire” and in 2019 at the Royal Conservatoire Antwerp as Nancy in B. Britten “Albert Herring”. K. Jürgens has also performed as a soloist with Oulu Symphony Orchestra (2018) and worked with many eminent conductors and directors (Giorgio Proietti\, Michiel Delanghe\, Paul Mägi\, Taavi Kull\, Ingrid Roose\, Stephan Jöris\, Hermann Keckeis\, Benoît De Leersnyder\, Laura Kalle\, Taago Tubin etc). Contemporary music has always had a great influence on her as a singer and an artist and already several distinguished composers from Estonia and abroad have written music for her. \nOLIVER KUUSIK\nis one of his generations most outstanding opera soloists in Estonia\, who studied at the Estonian Academy of Music and Theatre with Associate Prof. Pille Lill and Prof. Virgilius Noreika. He received his master’s degree and graduated from the opera studio of the Guildhall School of Music & Drama in London (2006). He was the soloist of the Estonian National Opera between 2008-2017 and is working as a freelancer now. From the most important roles his repertoire includes: Faust (Gounod “Faust”)\, Nemorino (Donizetti “The Elixir of Love”\, Liverpool\, UK)\, Don Ramiro (Rossini “La Cenerentola”)\, Sesto (Händel “Julius Caesar”)\, Fenton (Verdi “Falstaff”) etc. He has taken part of the recording of Fleishman’s opera “Rotchild’s Violin” together with the Liverpool Royal Symphony Orchestra and sung the role of Enjolras in Schönberg’s/Boublil’s musical “Les Miserables”. O. Kuusik has performed as an oratorio and chamber music singer in over 25 different grand musical works and given concerts in Estonia as well as several foreign countries. In 2010 O. Kuusik was rewarded with the annual “Crystal Shoe” Award of the Estonian Theatre Union\, in 2009 he was chosen as a laureate of the Jeunes Ambassadeurs Lyriques (Montreal\, Canada)\, in 2008 he received the annual Estonian Theatre Award for his singing in Britten’s “Turn of the Screw” and he has been awarded with the PLMF award “Young Singer 2005”. Several praising reviews have been published about him in worlds most notable publications such as Opera Now\, Opera Magazine\, The Stage\, The London Times etc.\nKAI RATASSEPP\n\nis a recognized soloist and chamber musician\, her repertoire includes music from classical to contemporary. Kai Ratassepp graduated from the piano class of Ruuta Taras and Lilian Semper at Tallinn Music High School in 1988 and continued her studies at the Estonian Academy of Music under the guidance of Lilian Semper and Peep Lassmann. In 2007\, under the guidance of Peep Lassmann\, she acquired a doctorate from the Estonian Academy of Music and Theatre. She has furthered her skills in the masterclasses of Andrei Gavrilov\, Ralf Gothón and Arbo Valdma. Kai Ratassepp has won awards at several national and international piano festivals in Belgrade (1990)\, Vilnius (1991) and Tallinn (1994\, 1996). She has given solo concerts and performed in various bands in Estonia\, Finland\, Sweden\, Germany\, England\, USA\, China\, Poland and Russia. The most important and recognised of her chamber ensembles is the piano duo with Mati Mikalai. Other frequent band partners have been\, for example\, saxophonist Virgo Veldi and clarinettist Madis Kari. Karp has given numerous solo concerts and he has performed songs by Russian\, French\, German\, Finnish and Estonian composers from classical pieces to contemporary ones.\n\nTIINA KÄRBLANE \nhas studied at Tallinn Music High School and graduated from the Tallinn State Conservatory in the piano class of Prof. Bruno Lukk in 1985. She continued her studies in Leningrad Conservatory in the chamber music department under the guidance of Prof. Tamara Fidler. Her first job was at the Tallinn National Conservatory as an accompanist in the string department. At the same time\, there were several concert tours across the former Soviet Union\, in the service of Soyuz Concert (with the soloist violin player Jüri Gerretz). In 1991\, the teaching job continued at the Kuopio Conservatory and at the Sibelius-Academy. Tiina has had several successful performances at national string competitions in Estonia and Finland as well as at international competitions (Riga\, 1984; Geneva\, 1990; as a competitor A. Leibur). From 2000-2014 Tiina Kärblane was at the service of Tampere University of Applied Sciences (TAMK)\, teaching accompanying and correpetition. From 2003-2013 she worked as a correpetitor at the Tampere Opera. That job brought her together with a number of Finnish and European distinguished singers\, directors and conductors. Tiina started to teach at opera studio in Estonian Academy of Music and Theatre in autumn 2013.

She has also been invited to perform as a soloist in front of several orchestras. I. Zahharenkova is continuously performing at chamber concerts either with piano or harpsichord solo pieces. Two CD-s have been released: in 2010 and in 2012 with Classical Records and a DVD in a 2009 release by Estonian Records Production. Irina has an extensive repertory which comprises of pieces from baroque to contemporary music. At this time\, I. Zahharenkova lives and teaches in Finland and she is a lecturer in EAMT. Zaitseva has won the I prize in the St. Petersburg contest “Song has the face of a woman” (2008)\, spezial prize in the III and VII international contest “Opera\, the soul of mountains” in Poland (2008 and 2012)\, two special prizes in the 2nd National Vocal Contest dedicated to Vello Jürna (2012). In 2015 Olga Zaitseva was given a Crystal Shoe Award from the Estonian Theatre Union for being a “young person in theatre who has accomplished first significant theatrical works” for the performances of Almirena – Georg Friedrich Händel’s “Rinaldo” and Giannetta – Gaetano Donizetti’s opera “L’elisir d’amore” (both in Estonian National Opera).\n Her repertoire of opera roles includes Almirena\, Donna\, Mermaid (Händel’s „Rinaldo“)\, Giannetta (Donizetti’s „L’elisir d’amore“)\, II flower girl (Wagner’s „Parsifal“)\, shepherd girl (Ravel „The Child and the Spells“)\, Tebaldo (Verdi „Don Carlo“)\, Frasquita (Bizet „Carmen“)\, Sacerdotessa (Verdi „Aida“)\, Barbarina (Mozart „Le nozze di Figaro“). During a concert performance she has sung the role of Kupava (Rimski-Korsakov „The Snow Maiden“) and the soprano part of Fauré’s Requiem Op. 48. \nMICHAEL HYOKUN HA\n is a South Korean born tenor\, who began his studies in singing at Hanyang University in Seoul and continued his studies at the State University of Music in Freiburg and at the University Mozarteum Salzburg. He has attended master classes with Margreet Honig\, Dame Gwyneth Jones and Rudolf Knoll at the International Summer Academy Mozarteum Salzburg and received further impetus from such Italian maestri as Gianfranco Cecchele\, Nicola Martinucci as well as Mietta Sighele. After receiving his master’s degree in 2012\, he was engaged in the Staatstheater Braunschweig\, where he has performed a variety of roles\, including Nemorino (Donizetti “L’elisir d’amore”)\, Tamino (Mozart “The Magic Flute”)\, Aquilio (Vivaldi “Farnace”)\, Il Duca di Mantova (Verdi “Rigoletto”)\, Canio (Leoncavallo “Pagliacci”)\, Turiddu (Mascagni “Cavalleria rusticana”) etc. In 2017/18 he guested as Nemorino with the Danish National Opera. M. Ha has sung at the UNICEF Gala in Cologne\, Germany and he appeared at the New Year’s Gala of the Hamburg Symphony Orchestra in January 2018 with famous opera arias. M. Ha is a grant recipient of the Richard Wagner Association and in 2018 he was awarded the “Riccardo Zandonai Prize” for the best interpretation of an aria by the composer of the same name at the “XXV Riccardo Zandonai Competition” in Riva del Garda (Italy). He won the T.O.S.C.A competition in Andora (Italy) the same year. \nPIIA PAEMURRU\n is one of the most valued ensemble partners is Estonia mostly for opera singers\, but concert activity has brought her together with several outstanding musicians like E. Hannan\, R. Achieng\, V. Noreika\, J. Ryhänen\, M. Voites\, M. Palm\, P. Lill\, N. Kurem\, H.-L. Võsa\, O. Kuusik\, A. Saal\, K. Plaas\, M. Melnik\, P. Volmer\, A. Mikk\, R. Soom\, T. Jõks\, H. Lokuta\, P. Püvi\, A. Klas-Fagerlund\, M. Tampere-Bezrodny\, P. Paemurru\, A.-L. Bezrodny\, A. Lend\, V. Vurm etc. She graduated from the Tallinn Con-servatory (prof. Laine Mets\, MA 1999) and in 1986 she began working at the Estonian Academy of Music and Theatre’s Vocal Department as a piano accompanist. P. Paemurru has often played as a piano soloist and as a part of different ensembles in the Baltics\, Scandinavia\, Germany and Russia. She has been rewarded with the Special Prize for the best piano accompanist at several singing com-petitions\, including five times at the International K. Taev Singing Contest in Pärnu. Already at the age of two she began her violin studies with her parents\, and at the age of nine she began her studies at the Sibelius Academy in Helsinki\, in the class of her parents: Prof. Igor Bezrodny and Prof. Mari Tampere-Bezrodny. Her later years took her to London\, resulting in winning the most prestigious award in Guildhall School of Music and Drama\, the Gold Medal (2006)\, previously won by masters such as baritone Bryn Terfel and cellist Jaqueline du Pre. Over the years Anna-Liisa Bezrodny has performed as a soloist with the London\, Helsinki\, Vilnius\, Jena and Turku Philharmonic\, Estonian National\, Riga and Moscow Symphony Orchestra TV6 and several other symphonic orchestras as well as Gewandhaus Bach Orchestra\, Georgian\, Keskipohjanmaa (Finnish)\, Zurich\, Madrid\, Tallinn and other chamber orchestras. Concerts have taken place in such world-famous concert venues as Moscow Conservatoire Great Hall\, St. Petersburg Philharmonic\, Finlandia-talo\, Royal Festival\, Barbican\, Wigmore and Cadogan Hall\, Konzerthaus Berlin\, Cologne Philharmonie etc. Cooperation has been done with several conductors (Sir Colin Davis\, Leif Segerstam\, Paavo Järvi\, Sian Edwards\, Eri Klas\, Nikolay Alekseyev\, Arvo Volmer\, Juha Kangas\, Paul Mägi\, Tibor Boganyi\, Robin O’Neil\, Mihkel Kütson\, etc.). A.-L. Bezrodny has successfully taken part in many international competitions obtaining several awards and prizes including Martin Music \nFinnish cellist Jan-Erik Gustafsson is one of the most outstanding musicians of his generation\, who began his studies with Markku Luolajan-Mikkola at the West Helsinki Music Institute. He studied further with Mikhail Homitser and Frans Helmerson at the Edberg-Musikinstitut in Stockholm\, completing his soloist diploma examination in 1992. At the age of fifteen\, J-E. Gustafsson placed well in the EBU Young Musician competition in Copenhagen\, and since then he has performed world wide both as a soloist and as a chamber musician. He has appeared with numerous distinguished orchestras such as the London SO\, the Bournemouth SO\, the Netherlands RSO\, the Danish RSO\, the Swedish RSO and the Stockholm Philharmonic\, the Hong Kong Philharmonic\, the Jerusalem SO\, the Washington National SO\, the New York and Vienna Chamber Orchestras\, Camerata Bern and the Amadeus Chamber Orchestra. He has appeared with nearly all Finnish orchestras. In 1994\, Jan-Erik Gustafsson signed a contract with the American YCA agency. Consequently\, he regularly gives solo recitals on tour in the USA\, Europe and the Far East at venues such as Carnegie Hall and Alice Tully Hall in New York\, the Kennedy Center in Washington\, Suntory Hall in Tokyo and the Brahms Hall in Vienna. At chamber music festivals worldwide\, he has collaborated with Pinchas Zukerman\, Ralf Gothóni\, Leif-Ove Andsnes\, Paavali Jumppanen and Arto Satukangas. Jan-Erik Gustafsson has made several recordings for Ondine. His disc featuring Cello Sonatas by Szymanowski\, Kodály and Schnittke was nominated Record of the Year. Jan-Erik Gustafsson is the director of Loviisa Sibelius Festival and teaches as well at the Sibelius Academy in Helsinki\, Finland.

DESCRIPTION:30.08 Town Hall at 7 PM\nAccordion duo\nHenri Zibo and Mikk Langeproon\nProgramme: Eller\, Rääts etc\nTickets 15€/12€ \n  \nHENRI ZIBO\nstarted accordion studies at the Haapsalu Music School (teacher Sirje Roogla) when he was 10 years old and graduated from the music school with honors. His studies continued at the Tallinn Music High School (teacher Aivi Tilk) from 2012 to 2015 and from autumn of 2015 in the Estonian Academy of Music and Theatre (teacher Tiina Välja). H. Zibo has been rewarded with III place (2008\, 2010) and I place (2012) in the North-West Estonia region accordionist competition; I place in the VII and VIII republican young accordionist competition; II place in a TV contest „Classic Stars 2014“ and II place in a contest „Naujene 2016“ which took place in Latvia\, Daugavpils. He has done solo performances with Tallinn Chamber Orchestra\, The Orchestra of the Estonian Defence Forces and Estonian National Symphony Orchestra and taken master courses from different accordion masters (Mika Väyrynen\, Matti Rantanen\, Geir Draugsvoll\, Mikko Luoma\, Claudia Buder and Andreas Borregaard). H. Zibo has cooperated with many Estonian musicians and composers: Mihkel Poll\, Meelis Vind\, Johan Randvere\, Marcel Johannes and Katariina Maria Kits\, Marten Kuningas\, Marek Sadam\, Artjom Savitski\, Tauno Aints and maestro Arvo Pärt. \n\nMIKK LANGEPROON\nbegun his accordion studies at 8 years old at the Tallinn Music School and graduated with honors from the G. Ots Tallinn Music School (teacher Tiina Välja)\, where he was rewarded with G. Ots School’s silver badge. At the same time\, he graduated from Kadriorg German High School with a golden medal. From the autumn of 2014 he has been furthering his skills at the Helsinki Sibelius Academy (Prof. Matti Rantanen). M. Langeproon has repeatedly been awarded at the competition “Best Young Musician”\, he is the winner of the older age group of Estonian Young Accordionists’ Competition (2014) and he has obtained 2nd place at the International Vilnius Accordion Competition. He has been chosen as the best instrumentalist of Tallinn Music School (2011) and as the most outstanding student of the accordion department of G. Ots Tallinn Music School three years in a row. In 2013 he was awarded with the Maxima Future Talent title in the music\, arts and culture category. A special prize of the Round Table Competition in 2014 and a successful performance in the TV contest “Classic Stars 2016” are also worth mentioning. M. Langeproon is active as a soloist as well as a chamber musician and he has performed in several reputed concert halls in Estonia and abroad\, in Classic Radio’s live broadcasting and on Estonian Television. \n

Dr. Sofia Mazar is one of the leading figures in the field of Italian and Russian Opera in Israel. She is an assistant professor at the Hebrew University of Jerusalem\, where she was granted the Europe Forum’s award for researching Italian Opera of Ottocento. Sofia is a member of the teacher’s staff of the Music & Dance Academy in Jerusalem since 1997\, where she serves as a vocal coach. In addition\, she serves as a vocal coach in the New Israeli Opera. Dr. Mazar has participated in the Israeli Festival\, Haifa Symphony Orchestra and the Israel Sinfonietta Beer Sheva. She has also officiated many music festivals and masterclasses\, and performed regularly in recitals in Italy\, Israel\, Russia\, Belgium as well as Moscow International House of Music\, Turin University\, Brüssel Museum\, Ramat Gan Theater etc. \nPILLE LILL\nis one of the most well known opera singers in Estonia today. She has graduated from the Estonian Academy of Music and Theatre (EAMT) with two professions – choir conducting and opera singing. She continued her studies in the post garaduate level of the London Guildhall School of Music and Drama (Prof. J. Peters) and defended her master’s degree at the Helsinki Sibelius Academy (Prof. L. Linko-Malmio). In 2004-2011 she furthered her skills in the context of doctoral studies at EAMT (Prof. Jaakko Ryhänen) and in 2005-2006 in the lied class of the University of Karlsruhe (Prof Mitsuko Shirai and Hartmuth Höll). In addition\, she has taken part of several world-famous musicians’ master classes (Elisabeth Söderström\, Irwin Gage\, Emma Kirkby\, Mauriz Sillem\, Wilma Vernocchi etc.) P. Lill has performed as an opera\, oratorio and chambermusic singer in many countries. She has sung the lead role in close to 30 operas and she has cooperated with several reputed conductors (Rozhdestvensky\, Cillario\, N. Järvi\, Klas\, Prieto\, Alekseyev ect). She has done many recordings for the Estonian National Broadcasting and her voice is perpetuated on a number of CD-s. P. Lill has been rewarded with the Big Dipper award for Best Female Singer (1996)\, she has been a laureate for Georg Ots Prize (2002)\, a grantee of the Wagner Society Scholarship (1998) and a 3rd class honoree of the Order of Bishop Platon (2005). She has also been awarded with the UNICEF Bluebird Award (2009)\, the Estonian Cultural Endowment Award (2014)\, 4th class Order of the White Star (2016) and Esther of the Evangelical Lutheran Church of Estonia. P. Lill was a vocal teacher in EAMT from 1997 to 2013 (assistant professor from 2003) and she has given master classes in many countries (Germany\, Russia\, Finland\, Belarus\, Latvia\, Israel etc.). She has been also invited to be the member of the Jury in Latvia\, Estonia\, Russia and Israel. P. Lill was a board member of Estonian Composers’ Union from 2003-2009\, she is a board member of the Estonian Chamber of Culture and the Finnish-Estonian Culture Fund. She is also the founder and creative director of the PLMF Music Trust from 2003. \n
