Tallinn Music Week
The Pille Lill Music Fund invites you to join the 5th edition of the Tallinn Music Week (4-6 April 2013) to find out everything you need to know about the Estonian and Baltic music scene!
For the 3rd year PLMF and partners will be presenting a line-up of classical artists waiting to be discovered by the industry. In addition you will hear new contemporary music, see the Estonian National Symphony Orchestra and the National Opera Orchestra in action and of course take part of the international conference program.
Schedule: Thursday, April 4th - delegates arrival - meet the other classical delegates 6:15PM at the hotel lobby - "Golden Classics" concert 7PM at the Estonian Concert Hall The Symphony Orchestra of the Estonian National Opera conductor Vello Pähn, soloists Anna-Liisa Bezrodny (violin) and Ivari Ilja (piano) Felix Mendelssohn Bartholdy: Overture A Midsummer Night’s Dream op. 21 Concerto for violin, piano and string instruments d-minor Symphony no 5 op. 107 (Reformation)
Friday, April 5th - meet the other classical delegates 9:30AM at the hotel lobby - conference 10AM – 5:00PM - reception for all delegates 5:00PM – 6:30PM - "Estonian Heritage" concert within the Estonian Music Days 7PM at the Estonian Concert Hall The Estonian National Symphony Orchestra The Symphony Orchestra of the Estonian Academy of Music and Theatre conductor Arvo Volmer, soloists Mari Poll (violin), Mihkel Poll (piano) Tõnu Kõrvits. Saturday, April 6th - meet the other classical delegates 9:30AM at the hotel lobby - conference 10AM-2:30PM - young classical artists showcase at Hopner House 3:00-6PM Johan Randvere (piano), Marlena Keine (soprano, Latvia), Marike Kruup (violin), Neeme Ots (trumpet), Piano Trio: Linda-Anette Suss - Theodor Peeter Sink - Sten Heinoja, Gert-Ott Kuldpärg (saxophone), Johannes Välja (cello), Heili Rosin (flute), Piano Trio: Robert Traksmann - Marcel Johannes Kits - Rasmus Andreas Raide - classical delegates reception at Hopner House 6-6:30PM - classical artists showcase at the Estonian Concert Hall at 7PM: Ralf Taal (piano), Ivi Ots (violin), Adan Delgado Illada (trumpet, Spain), Kristel Pärtna (soprano), Artimus Ensemble, Irina Zahharenkova (piano), Andreas Lend (cello), Virgo Veldi (saxophone), string quartet Prezioso & Pirjo Püvi (soprano) - possibility to attend the composers' showcase at the Blackheads' House until 11PM and/or or other TMW showcases (in this case we recommend the jazz at Theatre NO99, goes on until 1 AM)
Sunday, April 7th - delegates’ travel home or sight seeing in Tallinn - possibility to see the new production of Tannhäuser at the Estonian National Opera 7PM
The annual music industry conference and music showcase for Estonian and international talent attracts around 300 international music industry players and around 300 music companies and organizations from the Baltic region, thereby serving as an effective platform for networking for music industry professionals as well as giving artists in the line-up a fair chance to get noticed by festivals, record labels, agencies, publishers and both international and local media. www.tmw.ee
