Quartet SaxEst

Saxophone quartet SaxEst was founded in 1999 by the outstanding Estonian saxophone player Virgo Veldi and is today the audience magnet for many of Estonias' most famous festivals. The repertoire of one of the most sought after Estonian ensembles also abroad consist of various music - transcriptions from baroque and the classicism era, original works from different world composers, Estonian and world contemporary music, also jazz and soul music. SaxEst has released two CD-s: the classical music CD “Collocutio” and the Christmas music CD “My Gift to You” with singer and bass player James Werts. They have participated in many music festivals - the "Czech Touches of Music" (Prague), EuropaFest (Bucharest), Tallinn Chamber Music Festival, the Estonian Music Days, the Nargen Festival etc. This season the quartet toured Great Britain and USA.SaxEst has released two CD-s: in 2003 the classical music CD  “Collocutio” and in 2009 the christmas music CD “ My Gift to You” with James Werts, who is a singer and bass player.
